Reasons how Animal meat lowers immunity and may cause Pandemics like Corona, Ebola, SARS, Swine flu & Influenza

After the bird flu, again, stares in Indians eyes, an other and perhaps more dangerous animal borne virus. The Covid 19.

The Covid 19 Pandemic has caused loss irreparable to humanity, and is continuing to do so. In the wildest of dreams had not humanity imagined, let alone being prepared, to come face on to such a killer!

Just 4 months, and this virus has killed, infected, quarantined and created panic among Billions! Just 4 months and Economies have been razed to dust, workload multiplied for Civil Servants and nights turned sleepless and days hectic for warriors in healthcare.

4 months of chaos. cause? Corona. Root cause? Wet meat markets of Wuhan, China. Discussing in this blog how consuming meat makes our immunity weak and more vulnerable and susceptible to diseases. Also, in the end, find out how to boost ones Immunity.

In this blog we explore why and how flesh based diet could have played a major role in some of the most deadly diseases human kind has ever come across!
  1. ANATOMY OF HUMAN BODY

The anatomy of humans is not made to digest meat, is what recent findings, scientists, biologists and dietitians tell us. No need to only rummage through research papers to deduce that, but simply observe our own body.

Humans have significantly longer intestines like that of herbivores, significantly longer than natural meat eaters like omnivores or carnivores. Carnivores and omnivores have short intestines because meat gets digested faster in their stomach and needs to pass out quickly from their body. When humans consume meat, meat gets stuck for longer time in their comparatively way longer intestines and mildly starts the process of decay. This leads to various diseases.

Human intestines resemble intestines of herbivores. When humans consume meat, it remains undigested and causes various diseases due to meat decaying for long time in body.

The hydrochloric acid in our stomach is weak to digest meat. Our hands and blunt nails are not at all effective in ripping and tearing apart an animals body. Our Teeth as well, they move side to side and grind the food rather than tearing and ripping like a natural meat eater does. Our canines are incredibly blunt and rudimentary made to hold on to morsels and not for eating meat. There are enough evidences making it evident that our body is not designed for meat.

Humans might be meat hooked but are not designed to digest meat.

2. FACTORY FARMING

Factory farming is a system of rearing livestock using highly intensive methods, by which poultry, pigs, or cattle are confined indoors under strictly controlled conditions. This system considers it normal to genetically fidget animals to maximize their profit at the stake of humans and animals health.

Genetically Fidgeted Chicken grow twice their natural size which makes movement difficult and painful for them. They suffer from Cardiopulmonary diseases, Sudden death Syndrome, lameness, skin diseases, degenerative bone diseases etc. which is later consumed by humans.

The factory farming industry puts incredible strain on our natural resources. The extreme amount of waste created by raising so many animals in one place pollutes our land, air, and water. Residents of rural communities surrounding factory farms report high incidents of illness. To counteract the health challenges presented by overcrowded, stressful, unsanitary living conditions; antibiotics are used extensively on factory farms, which creates drug-resistant bacteria and put human health at risk.

A study conducted by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) on broiler chicken about three years ago found that 40 per cent of the samples were contaminated with antibiotic residue.

The unnatural feeds, hormones, and excessive quantities of antibiotics used on factory farms put the human population at risk for chronic disease, obesity, and drug-resistant bacteria, and pose the threat of major zoonotic disease outbreaks.

Chicken are fed with antibiotics, are genetically fidgeted, forced to live in cramped spaces with no access to sunlight, they live in the same spaces where they excrete, this causes various diseases in chicken ranging from skin diseases to cardiopulmonary diseases. Many don’t survive before reaching the slaughter house.

Heart Disease, Cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Alzhiemers, Strokes, Kidney Failures within humans is commonly attributed to meat because today Animals are fed with chemicals and hormones, and that meat is consumed by us.

3. NATURE OF MEAT

In Ayurveda, there are hot and cold foods. And they’re not segregated temperature-wise. They are segregated according to the effect that they have on our body. Tamasic food lowers the body’s ability to fight disease and disrupts the proper functioning of the immune system. Tamasic food is heat generating and such heat generating food can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, gastritis, ulcers and rashes.

Hot foods require more calories to get digested by the body than cold foods, so the calories burnt while digesting these foods (yes, remember your thermogenics from school) causes a temporary increase in the body temperature and increase your basal metabolism rate as well.

Meat is a hot food as it has a high protein content, and so takes more time to get digested than other foodstuffs. The hydrochloric acid in our stomach is weak to digest meat. As it takes lot of energy to digest it can cause less immunity.

Eggs, chicken, fish and meat increases uric acid and cholestrol level in the body. They contain less dietary fibres, carbohydrates, which are essential for being healthy. This increases the risk of diseases like corona, heart disease, blood pressure, cancers, gall stone disease, diabetes, obesity, bird flu (AVI).

4. LIVING TESTIMONY

While millions of hard working individuals lay a living testimony to the fact that a life Lived minus animal products only becomes more enriched and profound, following are 2 beacon lights for us to remember whenever we feel plant based diet weakens the immune system and degenerates the body.

It has been over a year since Virat Kohli, Indian Cricket Team Captain, switched to a complete vegan diet. Ever since the transition he feels his performance on ground to have improved as he feels more lighter on ground and healthier.

In India, there is a complete village of body builders namely Asola Fatehpur Beri. All the males in this village are wrestlers and work as bouncers. They follow completely strict vegetarian diet. Till now this village has produced over 1000 body builders.

Did you know? There is a village in India namely Asola Fatehpur Beri where everyone is a body builder and wrestler! yes. They work as bouncers and everyone in this village follows a strict vegetarian diet.

5. ALTERNATIVES

There are many alternatives to building Immunity. But before we proceed, Till now it is established that animal products is not to opt for by one if that person wants a healthy life.

Tulsi is considered as one of the best herbs that boost the immune system. It contains phytochemicals, bioflavonols and anti-oxidants compounds, such as rosmarinic acid, which is a very good anti-microbial agent for treating infections in the respiratory tract. Tulsi is an excellent remedy for cough, soothes the throat, reduces the inflammation of the chest and helps to expectorate the mucus. The easiest ways to boost the immune system is to have 1 – 2 cups of tulsi tea every day.

Tulsi leaf acts as a natural immune system booster and protects against nearly all infections from viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa. Tulsi leaves extract increases the T helper cells and natural killer cells activity, boosting the immune system.
Tulsi strengthens the stomach and helps cure respiratory problems. 2-3 leaves can be put in water and that water can be consumed rest of the day.
Tulsi Leaves has umpteen medicinal properties which ancient Indian Saints recognized way back. No wonder there is an Indian festival around Tulsi.

Other than that, to boost immunity one should drink plenty of water of room temperature, consume fruits rich in vitamin C like Orange, Pear etc, one should drink raw fruit and vegetable juices in plenty, consume handful of nuts daily, and most important is to be stress less, peaceful and content. One should get complete sleep and rest to body and not use mobile phones 1 hour before sleeping.

Not to consume meat is what we learn from our experience of the Corona Pandemic.
