Came across some reels, videos & content showcasing females as victims of household work & responsibilities! The sheer level of degradation of females compelled me to write something!
Before we move forward, we need to identify the legacy that we belong to!
We carry the legacy & roots of the most visionary, compassionate and secured ideology – the Jinshasan as envisioned & gifted to us by our Tirthankar Parmatmas! And a legacy coming from the Tirthankars themselves can never, I repeat never be flawed!
You, our Shravikas, of Jinshasan carry the might & wisdom of Chandanbala, Sulsa & Champa! The Shravikas of Jinshasan who were known not just for their Jayana, Karuna & Sanskars, but who were also known for their wisdom, rich legacy of thoughts & a fierce voice when an attack was foreseen on Jinshasan!
The world, this arya sanskruti, this jinshasan is again under multiple attacks! But one of the most dangerous, poisonous & disastrous attack is on you – Shravikas!

From a while now, there seems to be a trend to show women as victims – victims of parenting, victims of family set-up, victims of marriage, victims of career & to be honest – victims of everything possible under the roof!
It’s Time for Some Uncomfortable Truth!
Somewhere along the way, a loud, distorted version of “empowerment” has started displaying itself as feminism. And instead of lifting women up, it’s quietly eroding the very foundation that makes us powerful. Not all voices that shout “freedom” are fighting for you. Some are selling you a narrative! A dangerous narrative that disconnects you from your strength, your identity, and your role in shaping the world.
Let’s get one thing straight: Empowerment is not measured by how far you move away from tradition, family, or responsibility. And it certainly isn’t proven by looking down upon women who choose a different path, especially those who choose to build and nurture a home.
When did being a homemaker become something to “escape” from? When did creating a stable, loving, value-driven home become less important than chasing external validation?
A woman who runs a home is not “just” anything. She is a strategist, a nurturer, a culture-bearer, a teacher, and often the emotional backbone of an entire family. She shapes young minds before the world even gets to them. That is not a small role! In fact, it is the very foundation of the society.
And yet, today, there’s a growing tendency to pit women against women.
The False War
Career vs. Home!
Independence vs. Family!
Modern vs. Traditional!
This is a false war. A completely manufactured divide. Because true strength lies in choice — and not in blindly following whatever trend is currently being glorified.
Ask yourself: who benefits when women start devaluing roles that have historically built stable families and societies? Who benefits when you are made to feel that your worth is tied only to external success, visibility, or comparison?
The Social Media Trap
Social media knows exactly where to hit. It feeds insecurity, amplifies dissatisfaction, and sells a constant sense of “you’re missing out.” It tells you that unless you’re constantly proving something, you’re falling behind. And in that noise, it slowly disconnects you from your own instincts, your own priorities, your own truth.
Real empowerment doesn’t come from imitation. It comes from awareness.
Freedom without clarity becomes chaos.
And independence without purpose becomes emptiness.
Not Every Restriction is Oppression
And here’s the part many won’t say out loud: not every restriction is oppression. Sometimes, boundaries exist for protection, stability, and long-term well-being. That doesn’t make women weak. Instead it reflects the value placed on them.

Indian culture and Jainism at its core, has always placed women in positions of deep respect: not just in words, but in symbolism, responsibility, and influence. But respect is not sustained by slogans. It is sustained by how women see themselves and each other.
Stop! Reflect! Rise!
🛑 Stop tearing each other down. Stop tearing yourself down!
🛑 Stop mocking the woman who chooses family. Stop mocking yourself by blindly following the trend!
🛑 Stop glorifying struggle just because it looks “bold.”
🛑 Stop confusing noise for progress.
🛑 And most importantly: Stop buying into narratives that turn you against your own strength.
The reel culture is taking over your time! The drive of getting likes, views & validation is ruining the basic ideology of maryada! The urge to get noticed, highlighted and spoken about is making your whole purpose fruitless!
⚠️ Invest your time wisely! The ill effects of social media, the dark world of data privacy & data leaks and the shameful world of photo morphing & deep-fake images & videos will destroy you! Not just you, the entire social structure! Please, think on it!
You Are Powerful!
You are not empowered by rejecting tradition blindly. You are not stronger by dismissing roles you don’t personally choose. And you are certainly not liberated by becoming a product of someone else’s ideology.
You are powerful because you create, you nurture, you influence, and you sustain.
